Wearable Bacteria?

July 15, 2010

Suzanne Lee, a fashion designer from the UK and founder of BioCouture, has developed a new way to make clothing…  growing sheets of bacterial cellulose that can be molded together to create a garment.

Might be just the thing for our consumer culture – it’s completely biodegradable!  …As long as you’re not grossed out by wearing bacterial waste.
