Dress Like You’re ‘Capable’

University of Utah has a new dress code with the goal of making patients think they are in capable hands.

After two years of careful formulation, the dress code bans frosted eyeshadow, faded corduroys, sequins, and denim skirts.  All of which are apparently tell-tale signs of incompetence…  or something…

Despite this silliness in the dress code, there are some useful parts, mainly color coded scrubs so that patients can easily identify hospital employees.

Nurses will wear white tops with red, black, or navy pants; pharmacists wear olive scrubs; EMTs and nurse assistants wear red, black, or navy.

Red seems like a weird color for scrubs, though…
